Ho Chi Minh City- Day 2 : Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre
Balik dari Cu Chi Tunnel Tour kami singgah dahulu kedai makan Kampung Melayu sebelah je kedai Basiroh. Saje nak cube kedai lain, nak tukar taste. Lepas makan,kami balik ke Hotel untuk solat dan rehatkan badan.
Lebih kurang pukul 4 baru kami keluar dari Hotel. Plan untuk petang ni kami ke Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre. Seperti biasa, kami minta lagi peta dari receptionist Hotel untuk ke Water Puppet Theatre.
Plan asal nak ambil last show pukul 7p.m, tapi takut lambat sangat kami decide pergi untuk show pukul 5p.m Alhamdulillah, nasib baik kami tukar plan sebab sekarang ni last show pukul 6 p.m yang pukul 7 dah tak ada lagi..
Maka berjalanlah kami berdua ke Water Puppet Theatre dengan berpandukan peta sahaja. Nak cari landmark, Water Puppet Theatre ni berdekatan dengan Reunification Palace next to Gym/Stadium sahaja. Disepanjang jalan kami lalui taman dan dapat lihat orang Vietnam melakukan aktiviti petang mereka iaitu menari beramai-ramai. Patutlah dia orang ni kurus kering dan sihat.

Dah nak dekat sampai ke Water Puppet Theatre, tiba-tiba pula hujan turun dengan lebat. Nasib baiklah aku ni jenis berjalan ke mana-mana mesti bawa payung. Berlari-lari aku dengan along ke sebuah bangunan. Mula-mula ingat nak berlindung je dekat bangunan tu, tapi rupanya kami dah sampai ke Water Puppet Theatre punya building. hahah. Terus kami beli ticket untuk show .

Tips untuk semua, lebih baik beli sehari awal sebab kebanyakkan travel agent akan booking tempat ni awal jadi nanti jadi macam kami dapat seat belakang.. uhuk!

Water Puppetry Part of Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage
"Not watching a performance of water puppetry means not visiting Vietnam yet". This is the practical advice appearing in many guidebooks in Vietnam. And it is so true that most visitors to Vietnam try to watch a performance of water puppetry at least once. And after the performance, most of them are excited and always repeat this advice to their relatives who are going to take a tour to the beautiful country named Vietnam.
Water Puppetry is full of joys, lighting and colors, myriad charms and shocking surprises. This is the feeling of those who are watching a performance of water puppetry. Now, we can watch water puppetry on videotapes, CDs or television programs. However, none of these can replace a real-time performance in which we sit near a sparkling water surface.
At the village pond, a swimming pool or the water stage in the puppetry theater, colorful puppets dance and perform numerous interesting items accompanied by animated music and singing. They can even perform acrobatics or spectacular acts which cannot be done by modern robots. You will see no puppeteer, no machines or instruments, and even no controlling strings and poles. You only watch the puppets on a shimmering water surface.
That's Vietnamese water puppetry, an original performing art preserved and handed down for nearly 1,000 years. In Vietnam, traditional water puppetry is performed in rural villages in the Red River Delta. It was not until 1958 that water puppetry was first displayed in Hanoi. And in 1973, the first state-run puppetry troop was established to serve the public audience. Vietnamese water puppetry was introduced abroad for the first time in France in 1984. Since then, the world has come to love this original performing art.can replace a real-time performance in which we sit near a sparkling water surface.

Walaupun tak faham apa yang dia orang cakap, tapi sangat enjoy sebab benda ni tak ada dekat tempat lain. Kecewa gak la gambar-gambar dalam Puppet Show ni banyak gegar macam tangan tak dibedung. Sebab frust, finally aku tengok je show tu.. hahahha.. Sebab lagi syok tengok dari aku amek picture..
Jadi sila lah datang ke Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre. Hanya di Vietnam!
